Can't open Filemaker files on remote computer'
I just upgraded my office computer to Yosemite. My lab computer (10.6.8) has a number of Filemaker databases on it. In the past, I simply connected to the remote machine either within the Filemaker Open dialog box or in the Finder and opened the file. Both computers have Filemaker Pro 10 installed. After Yosemite, the Open dialog box does not list shared computers. If I navigate to the remote file in the Finder, and try to open it, I get an error "xxx file could not be opened (Not Found)". Any ideas how to get around this?
I'm not a mac user but this could be an user account permissions issue.
Using Open instead of Open Remote to open a file on another computer is not recommended by FileMaker Inc. There is some chance of damaging the database file under certain circumstances.
