Have you tried displaying the results of the relationship, to see if it displays the 'Many' foreign records?
Yes. I had inserted a Portal into the layout. It displays only one record. (In a test which I created, using FM files, it displayed all related (child) records.
I only asked because I've never paid any attention to the number of Crow's Feet, and at first glance at one of my more complicated ERDs I can't see many that start or end with a |-, but those that do seem to involve a single relationship criterion and a global at one end at least.
Is there any chance that in your tables the format of the data is not the same (eg: number one side, text on the other?)
I'll bow out after this, as my use of integrated MySQL tables is very limited.
I checked the types and I also made a test database and 2 test tables with only the necessary fields (2 in Header, 3 in Lines) and the same problem occurs.
I even tested a mixed sources, where the Header table (persons) comes from MySQL and the Lines (Addresses) is FM table - and it works perfectly OK.
There is amall difference in the ending of the connector line: the ending on the side of MySQL table is |-- (instead of the usual --), but it still works OK).
The problem occurs only when the Lines (child) table comes from MySQL. Then both endings of the connector line are |-- .
I have done same tests with MS SQL Express Edition (2008 R2) and got same problem.
I thought the problem might be related to MySQL version (5.5.8) and ODBC Connector version (5.1.8), but it doesn't seem right now the cause.
