Title

Capturing variables from a portal row and the main record

Post

I am wanting to allow my users to "move" a record from one record cluster to another. This is essentially creating a new record on the join table and removing the original record on the join table. I have the functionality working to select the portal row and associate the record with a new record cluster, but I also want the original join record to be deleted. Is there a way I can capture the portal record id as a variable, but separately capture the record the portal is being viewed in as a separate variable? If so, then I could just run a search for that record on the join table and delete the association. I just do not know how to capture those variables when I click on a button on the portal row.

     Thanks in advance.
