I was looking at a web page ( http://campsoftware.com/products/fmsnippets/ ) that provides a way to create FM scripts without having to go through the FM Script Editor. FMSnippets used with TextExpander allows one to code in a text editor and enter commands with abbreviations.
typing ‘fmifs’, the abbreviation for ‘fm if short’, will expand to:
If ( test ; resultOne ; resultTwo )
typing ‘fmifl’, the abbreviation for ‘fm if long’, will expand to:
If (test ;
typing ‘fmcase’, the abbreviation for ‘fm case’, will expand to:
test1 ; result1 ;
test2 ; result2 ;
I was surprised to see a Case structure presented.
Does FMP allow a Case structure? I don't see one listed in the script menu or reference, but it is easier to use and read than nested If or If and Else If.
Case exists as a function that you can use in a calculation but does not exist as a script step.
