      Case Function (pulling out hair)

      Post

           Okay, as an old C programmer this should be easy beans BUT I'm pulling my hair out.  I'm using FM Pro 11 Advanced.

           I'm using the following case statement to assign the a general category to a field based on the specific job position, e.g. "Assistant" is also part of the group "Staff".  Some of the case lines work and some don't.  I.e., Client, Guardian, Manager, RN, LPN, Staff, Client, CNA work fine, Family, Assistant, PA, and Friend do not.  I've tried moving their positions around without any change. I've done copy/paste to make sure spellings match.  Does anyone see what the problem is?

           This is the case statement:

           Contact » Person::position  =  "Family " ; "Family";
           Contact » Person::position  =  "Assistant " ; "Staff";
           Contact » Person::position  =  "PA " ; "Staff";
           Contact » Person::position  =  "Client" ; "Client";
           Contact » Person::position  =  "Guardian" ; "Guardian";

           Contact » Person::position  =  "Friend" ; "Friend";
           Contact » Person::position  =  "Manager" ; "Manager";

           Contact » Person::position  =  "Coordinator" ; "Coordinator";
           Contact » Person::position  =  "Director" ; "Director";
           Contact » Person::position  =  "RN" ; "RN";
           Contact » Person::position  =  "LPN" ; "Staff";
           Contact » Person::position  =  "CNA" ; "Staff";
