Change Error Message !
Is there any way of changing the default message that comes up when a find returns a blank, Or even turning the message of completlely
In your script add Set Error Capture [on] just before you perform the Find. This step suppresses error dialogs such as the one that pops up and interrupts your script when no errors are found.
You can then use either Get ( LastError ) or Get ( FoundCount ) to check to see if any records were found. Show Custom Dialog can then be used to display your own custom message.
Thanks Once Again,
God knows what id do without this forum & Your Advice, Cheers
A quick follow up from a Newbie with FM 11 Pro how do you put in the Get(LastError). I see no function in script editor so do you use a quick find?
Thanks in advance
If[Get(LastError)=//whatever error # you're trapping//]
//Do what you need to do//
"how do you put in the Get(LastError). I see no function in script editor so do you use a quick find?"
When you are specifying the 'If' calculation change the pop-down list in the top right of the Specify Calculation Dialogue to show 'Get Functions'.
