Change layout theme
I created a layout with the assistant and chose a theme. Now I'd like to change the theme. Can I do that without creating a whole new layout?
Thank you for your post.
You should be able to go into Layout Mode (under the View menu) and change any part of the layout. You can remove and add objects, fields, etc.
Even though the Layout Themes are one-offs, you can create a new layout with the new theme, size your layout parts to the correct vertical dimension, go to the old layout, selection all, copy, go to the new layout and paste, and then move to the correct position on the layout.
Now if you have scripts, buttons, or other objects, you may need to update them.
"I can't seem to change the "theme" elements...colors etc that the "theme""
Basically a theme applies some colors and fills to the header, body and footer part.
On windows, right-clicking the part label gives you the choice to change the color and the fill.
Sure there is something near this way on a Mac, too.
Yes, control-click on a Mac allows you to change the fill color.
That's great. I was going to request that as an enhancement. I didn't know that was there. Cool. ;-)
