I'd like to read that entire thread. Can you post a link to it?
Thanks, I'm using that thread to update the Known Bug List database.
What versions of FileMaker, Operating Systems and web browsers are you using?
The only apparent work around appears to be to keep your check boxes in a single column or in several copies of the same field with each copy displaying a different subset of the total value list unless a subsequent software release has fixed the problem.
Filemaker Pro 11 (trial). Windows 7 and have tried it in both firefox and IE
Have just tried the single columm aproach and it's worked a bit - I only have December missing off the end. Luckily there aren't many festivals in December.
Just noticed lots of other problems in the layout vis IWP and ironically I'm using a FMP11 template - the problem seems to be that the sizes, ratios and positioning of my layout via IWP bears no resemblance to what I have on my desktop version. So far my trial period isn't being very successful : - (
Ah - just realised why there are other problems in the FM Pro 11 template (Contact Management) - because it has checkboxes in the 'related' tab
Why give out a template that has half the checkboxes missing in IWP?!!
Some users have been able to cure some such problems by making small changes and adjustments to the size and position of their layout objects.
The templates were'nt intended for IWP use, they have incompatible script steps and layout elements for that. In IWP, you usually have to develop layouts customized to work within it limitations.
Unfortunately my limitations seem to be not being able to use checkboxes properly.
Thanks for the insight though, appreciated. I'll have a fiddle and see if I sort something. Also going to try Safari
Thank you for your post.
The "Instant Web Publishing Guide" that comes with FileMaker Pro, states:
"Radio buttons and checkboxes display as standard HTML controls. If they are getting cropped, enlarge the fields on the FileMaker Pro layout."
