Title

Checkboxes without Displayed Value List Labels?

Post

Okay, I'm a pretty casual user of Filemaker (personal, non-business user).  I've tried everything I can find in-program, and haven't had any better luck searching online.  Maybe someone here can help?

So here's what I'd like to do -- I would like to have a checkbox set for a field value, but I do not want it to display each value list option -- I would like to label those those seperately as part of the non-field text.  In other words, I do not need this, which is what the checkboxes (in this case, several different fields with Red Green and Blue defined as the value list) seem to default to:

[] Red  [] Green  [] Blue

[] Red  [] Green  [] Blue

[] Red  [] Green  [] Blue

...

Instead, I would like add the common label manually above the choices, and save a lot of space.  This is what i'd like to do:

R  G   B <-- (this line would just be manual text added to the layout)

[]  []  []
[]  []  []

[]  []  []

...

Hopefully I'm explaining myself clearly enough here.  Any suggestions, or is what I'm looking for simply not applicable in Filemaker?

Thanks in advance,

Steve M
