Clarification of Deprecation of Instant Web Publishing in Filemaker Pro 13 Advanced from 12

      Post

           Hi All,

I've been called on to assist with a lab who recently upgraded to Filemaker Pro 13 Advanced from Filemaker Pro 12. It appears as if the Instant Web Publishing(IWP) has been removed with the update to Filemaker Pro 13 Advanced as mentioned here in the support page last updated/published on January 24, 2014:

      http://help.filemaker.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/12641/session/L2F2LzEvdGltZS8xNDAxMzEzODA2L3NpZC94RUE0cnFWbA%3D%3D

However, when reading through a support article published/updated on March 5, 2014 (a date after the above deprecated list article), it mentions that the IWP is still available on Filemaker Pro 13 Advanced and it explains how to utilize it as seen here on this page:

The two articles seem to conflict in their information so I'm just looking for some clarification if there's a way to recover the IWP function without having to resort to (1) downgrading back down to 12 OR (2) having to purchase Filemaker 13 Server.

If the former (1) is the only option, can it be done? Can we downgrade and reformat our databases back to the 12 format to recover IWP function? The IWP is the main reason why this lab purchased Filemaker to begin with and based on limited federal budgets, having to purchase Filemaker Server 13 would like to be avoided if possible.

Anyways, I apologize if my questions are a bit obvious and ignorant. I'm not well-versed yet in database management and I'm still getting used to working with Filemaker.

           Thank you

           Josh
