Title

Clear Global Field

Post

I have a layout based on a parent table that has a child portal. Portal related information (above & outside of the portal) is updated using a 2nd occurance of the child table joined to the parent table via global stored field. A script updates the global field upon entry of any portal records. No problems with all that.

However, when there are no records in the portal, the last update of the global stored field appear in the table occurance fields (outsode of the portal) prior to entering the first record - as it should based on what I'm asking it to do in situations where records do exist.

Is there a method to overcome the regular intended behaviour when the first record is about to be created (i.e. don't show anything in the table occurance fields until the first record is created)?

Thanks
