Open the file in FileMaker 11.
Choose Save a Copy as from the File menu.
Select the Clone option.
Now use Open from FileMaker 12's File menu to open the clone and produce a copy converted to the newer file format needed for FileMaker 12 and 13.
Thanks. Since this will be used by another team that I will not have access to FMP 12 version to see if all the data is removed, will it be removed? Or can I open it up in FMP 11 to verify the data is removed first?
Also, tried doing this and the "save a copy" is grayed out. Any other option?
The clone option is by definition empty of all records.
If this option is greyed out, it is probably due to the database being hosted vial FileMaker Pro or FileMaker Server on another computer. You will need to copy this file to your local computer or (if hosting with FileMaker Pro), do the save as... directly on the computer where it is hosted.
