Try using the Trim or TrimAll functions.
Name_Title & " " & Trim ( Name_First & " " & Name_Middle ) & " " & Name_Last
Thanks for the tip for using Trim. It worked great for my field calculating the entire address and removing the space when the 2nd address field is empty. However, I have another field that calculates names, using six fields: first name and last name, 3 times. I would like the field to list the names with a comma in between each name, but only if the following fields contain data. As it is right now, if there is only one name, it calculates the field like this: FirstName LastName, ,
Any thoughts to help remove the commas when the fields are empty?
Field 1 and IF ( Not isempty ( field 2 ) ; ", " & Field 2 ; "" ) & If (Not IsEmpty (Field 3) ; ", " & Field 3 ; "" ) .....
Thank you! I knew it was something like that, but couldn't quite get it. :) Thanks again! Worked great!
A bit easier if you have the List() function in your version:
Substitute ( List ( field1 ; field2 ; field3 ; field4 ) ; ¶ ; ", " )
It works well because, if a field is empty, List() removes it completely.
