If I am hiding ten objects using the same condition, will I get better performance if I group all these objects into one object which I then apply the condition to? Will filemaker only be evaluating one condition in the latter case?
That is a logical assumption, but I really don't know. If so inspired, perhaps you could test this idea and report back? (Try using a script to produce a table of say 10,000 or more records and compare update times on a pair of list view layouts--each set up the same way--except for this one key difference in how the "hide object when" setting is specified.)
