Hello Itchinaro Bahnawa
Try either entering the previously used password for BOTH the account name and password, or leaving the username EMPTY and entering the password. Be aware that passwords in FP7 files are case sensitive.
After getting into the file, go to File > Manage > Security and rename the account and optionally update the password.

Thanks for response.
I've already tried what you've suggested and various other combinations (upper/lower cases, etc) but it didn't work.
Some .cji files converted without asking for user name and password, but they causes error:
FileMaker cannot share files because another user is already sharing files using FileMaker Pro on this computer.
Does the conversion require Developer's Password? I'm using my master password, which isn't working. If requires Developer's Password, is there way to bypass it? The developer does not support the app any longer.
As I understand it you will need to remove the password on the old file before converting.
You shouldn't need to remove it, but opening them with a Full Access password is required as far as I know.
I've never needed to do this myself, but...
If all else fails, certain parties used to offer a password cracker utility for this version of FileMaker. If you can still get such a tool, you could "crack" a copy of the file, note the full access password used (this version doesn't hide passwords under bullet characters) and use it to open your uncracked copy. (Some crackers modify the file to gain access so it is best not to use the cracked file.)
This app contains 1 *.FP5 file and several *.CJI files.
Used the password utility and found one password for the FP5 file and 4 same passwords for all *.CJI files. I tried all the passwords but no luck.
Thank you all for responses....
Are you not able to open it before converting and remove the password?
CJI isn't a standard file suffix for FileMaker files. Was this a runtime system at one time?
Might need to rename the files to replace .CJI with .FP5 so the new version of Filemaker recognizes the files as FileMaker files during the conversion process.
I am able to open in current v6 without a problem. but cannot remove the password. All I need done was delete a record to fix an issue due to a bug in app, but it's not allowing it, most of the functions are disabled even with my master password. It has "developer page" menu item, but unable to access it with all the passwords I've recovered. Thought, perhaps, upgrading to newer version may fix the record problem, but got into bigger issue with conversion.
The POS app, came in as runtime by the developer. And there is only one small FP5 file that opens all the CJI files. Seems all version recognize the CJI as it attempts to convert. I renamed the CJI files to FP5 extension, and same issue arrised.
Any one familiar with FileMaker Developer 6? (I think that's what they called it.)
With newer versions, now called Filemaker Advanced, you can strip out features to keep others from altering the design of your files. Don't know if this might be the case with your files or not.
After trial and errors, I managed to convert the files to FMPro 9. But whenever it open it, I'm getting " Filemaker cannot share files because another user is already sharing files using FileMaker Pro on this computer." Although my PC is the only one running, I went and set Sharing to all users. But the message still comes up.
After loading the files, I get another error "Tori Dialog Plug-in not found. Please put the Troi Dialog Plug-in into the SYSTEM directory inside the FileMaker directory." I had this same error when reinstalling FMPro 6, but fixes it when I copy the old backup of "SYSTEM" folder to FileMaker's SYSTEM directory. But v9 doesn't have SYSTEM folder, so created and copied it, but didn't work. I'm guessing incompatibility. I'm searching for Troi Dupdate for v9.
You might try contacting Troi for help on this. You might need to install an updated copy of the plug in.
Downloaded the updated version of Troi Dialog Plug-in. Per installation instruction, got the plugin to C:\Document Settings\User Name\Local Settings\Application Data\FileMaker\Extension. The FMPro 9 sees it, and in preference, it's enabled. But running the app, it's looking for the plugin in the SYSTEM directory and quits. It doesn't help to copy the plugin in the C:\Program Files\FileMaker\FileMaker Pro 9\SYSTEM directory or the C:\Program Files\FileMaker\FileMaker Pro 9\Extensions directory.
I've sent email to Troi and waiting for their response.
