converting a number into random numbers and letters
We have a database that deals with confidential information. One of them is a personal identifier, which is a number. We need users to be able to enter the number, but then it needs to be converted in such a way users that potential hackers will not be able recognise or decipher it.
Is there a way to pseudoanoymise number strings, for example convert the number 1234567890 into Fe$9G&£@tHyN478-hsCd21 ? Obviously we would need to be able to access the original number.
