Converting fp5 files (for Mac) into the latest Filemaker pro for Win then export on MySQL

      Post

      Hello,

A client of mine needs to export all his archives from FilemakerPro files (some on version 5 for Mac) to an online database (MySQL).

Essentially, all his offline archives must go online on MySQL tables.

I have just received the files and I know there are some with fp5 extensions (I know it's the Macversion), and some with fp7 (should be Filemaker version 10 for windows).

What's the quickest way to export these archives onto MySQL?

I've tried to export from filemakerpro 5 for mac, but all I can get is an HTML file or a CSV.

I've thought that converting those files to the latests versions and then using the latest version of FM for Win would alow me to have more export options under the new software? Any quicker way?

Essentially, my aim is to populare standard tables in a standard DB (MySQL).

Thanks a lot for any help!
