I am guessing that's Unix time. You can convert it to Filemaker timestamp by =
unixTime + 62135596800 + TZ * 3600
where TZ is your offset from GMT (in hours) including any DST in effect (Unix time is always GMT).
Is it just a time and not a date stamp then?
using your calculation I am now getting whats looking like the right time e.g. 09:19:36
The colum in mysql is called cdate so i was expecting a date&time time stamp.
Unix time is the number of seconds elapsed since midnight January 1, 1970. The result type of the above calculation should be Timestamp, so that 1253870376 returns 25/9/2009 9:19:36.
my result datatype is set to timestamp, but I am just getting 09:19:36 in the field i.e. no date.
I am GMT 0 Greenwich mean time
I don't know. A Timestamp field (incl. a calculation field with Timestamp result) should display both date and time - unless you have applied custom formatting to the field object on a layout.
What do you get if you change the formula to Get(CurrentTimestamp) ?
