You join table should have a response field no?
Yes my joint table has a status field where I drop down from a menu (custom values) attending/not attending
I want a field to count the attending and the not attending participants?
You can use a simple subsummary report for that. Group by the attend field. In FM10, you can even use the report in browse mode.
What I need is count - So I have 23 members that accepted the invitation - and I have 12 members that have declined what I need is to have a field that counts the accepted and a field to count the declined
I have a status field where I select attending or declined
Please TRY what I'm writing here but I'm not a guru in FMP!
I resolved this issue in my DB the following way:
I added another copy of the same table naming it "similar attendance" on Manage Database / Relationships / ADD (+)
I joined the "Attended Yes NO" field [for me 1 = yes 0= No]
I created a new field "Total Attending" using COUNT function
Honestly I don't have a full explanation why it worked, but it did for me...
Worst case scenario, you lost 3 minutes...
