Is there a way where you can create a place for users to enter their username and passwords on a page so that they can login using IWP (instant web publishing)?  If so, how do you create this in FileMaker?  Thank you very much for your help!

          Thank you for your post.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean.  You can definitely create a database to hold Usernames and Passwords.  You can then use Instant Web Publishing to have this active on the web, but I don't know why you would want users to see this?  Do you mean only have access to their password records?

To make a database file available via Instant Web Publishing, pull down the File menu and select "Sharing -> Instant Web Publishing...".  Turn on Instant Web Publishing, select the database file in the bottom left corner, and set access to the file for "All Users".

What he means is, how does one restrict browser access to database contents via IWP by prompting for the same account name and password assigned within FileMaker?

              Thanks for your post.

The IWP functionality will automatically prompt a user for their login to the database after they pick the file they want from those hosted on the IWP homepage. To force the user to log in simply disable the guest account in the file so it can't be used to acces the file. The user will then have to provide a username and password to enter the file.
