SeedCode also offers a free calendar.
The link for mine is: https://www.dropbox.com/s/e8d03xvwe8vtz85/Calendar.fp7
It readily converts to FMP 12 format and was updated fairly recently to work better in a multi-user environment.
Yes I already have your calendar and the one from seedcode has a few but I how do I get the calendar into my existing database?
and then how do I go about setting up my table etc to do this.
I guess what I'm asking is ... is there a step by step guide to create from scratch? As I said already have the training manual but haven't had time to take a good look through it yet. Does anyone know if there is a step by step guide on how to create this?
I mean I like the one that is free from seedcode, but I need to modify it. Where do I start to even know how to do this? and I still need to get it into my existing database.
And thaks S Chamblee, the fm starting point was very helpful

You don't actually have to recreate them inside your own file. It's possible to set up an external data source reference to them from your file. But one of the reasons I produced a Calendar demo is that it's possible to set up with a very few tables, fields and relationships. Thus, it's not that difficult to reproduce from scratch inside a new database file. Scripts and tables, BTW, can be imported into your existing file so the main effort is in recreating a few relationships and the Calendar Grid layout. With care, all the objects on that layout can be copied/pasted.
Thanks for the link.ok so I am going through it step by step, and I have come across Point 3. where it states
"now create a third called "Interface to Events" and make sure that it is using the Events table as its source"
how do I create the third table based on the "Events" table as its source?
I know if this was in an access database you would use a query to base it on as the source but how do I do this with filemaker?
This a table occurrence (not another table) of the Events table called Interface to Events:
"...now create a third called "Interface to Events" and make sure that it is using the Events table as its source. Next join the "Interface" table occurrence and the "interface to Events" table occurrence using "Interface::__ID" (the Interface table's primary ID field) and the "Interface to Events::_InterfaceID" field (that's the field in the Events table that will hold a copy of whatever primary ID is stored in the Interface table)."

Thanks for clearing that up, I am new to FM, but I have done a fair bit using access.
I am going to follow the steps from the link you gave me.
Thanks for the links for integrating the calendars, I shall read through.
Ive been using the demo calendar that was posted this time last year. The whole thing is working a treat, however I cannot get the "current month" to appear in Browse mode. When in layout mode i get <<$$CurrentMonth>>
I did also notice that the table "Calendar" is not included in any relationship and that there is also 1 record for this table but it has been deleted.
Any suggestions on how i get the current month | year to appear? All the scripts match your demo and i have added a few entries of my own so i know it all works.
Hi Phil - are you still offering your calendar to people as a starting point? I tried your link and it doesn't seem to work anymore?
