Please describe exactly how you have your data structured and what kind of chart you are trying to produce.
The information is in one table. I have used a filter to select information required and then used your quick chart function. the graph is a bar graph. If I set up the chart without having completed a filter then only one chart prints. if I use the filter (search) then the programme prints out a chart for each record but the chart includes all the records. Is this an error when one uses windows operating system and should one rather use an apple. please advise if this is the case as I shall then need to discuss. If you would like to see the file please advise and I can send it to you.

It's not MY quick chart function, I just use the same product you do. I don't work for or represent FileMaker Inc.
What is your "filter"? Did you perform a find or is this data in a filtered portal?
the graph is a bar graph.
And the length of each bar represents a number field of a single record, a subtotal from a group of records? Or?
I have used the find first and then the quick chart function.
Ans to 2nd: Each field has a value and the chart represents this value (no subtotal).
Apologies for the format, but RighNow has just royally screwed up the function of this web site yet again. They've fixed some issues, but now text in these responses is popping up completly devoid of any formatting I might add, even returns are being stripped out. But is that value based on the value of a single record? In otherwords, if you had this data in a found set of 4 records: Apple 23 Orange 14 Apple 15 Kiwi 5 Would you chart 4 bars with lengths of 12, 14, 15 and 5 respectively? << and the system still shows multiple charts and a record for each chart. Sounds like you just need to change the view setting from "list" to "form". Then you see only one record at a time and the chart will appear only once on your layout. When printing or saving as PDF, be sure to use the current record option.
Thanks Phil for all your help.
