Creating Report from ODBC and Related
As a background, I have an ODBC Table that has widgets. That ODBC table is read only. I have to create a custom report/layout using the data in the widgets table and some calculated fields based on the widgets table. Obviously I can't edit the widgets table to add calculated fields. And if I create a table and setup relationship, would I have to create all the widgets in the newly created FMP table for the calculated fields to show up?
You can define your own calculation and Summary field in the ODBC table. But yes you can't add any Text, Number, Date, Time or TimeStamp fields. In the field type you can choose calculation and Summary type while creating any field in that table. So define your own calculation field as per your requirement.
