In your example, does each row of data represent a new record in the new table?
Will it be a one time "batch fix" for your database or is it something you will need to do on a regular basis and thus should be scripted? IF that is the case, why is such needed?
Each row would be a new record in the new table. I actually am wondering if I am really looking for a report rather than creating another table.
The data needs to be linked to the master table as that data will be updated as the project progresses and we are looking to harvest the data from the two fields to create a single list as described in my original email.
Then perhaps those fields should not be in the master table in the first place but only in the related table with a one to many relationship based on a primary key field in the master table.
