It's not referring to any table or field, this is literal text.
You have a script step in this format Insert Calculated Result [Campaigns::template body ; "<First Name>"]
When this script step executes, it inserts the literal text <First Name> into the current cursor location of Campaigns::template body.
Thank you so much for answering my Post.
Yes I am aware of that.
I gess my question should be:
Were or when (what script) does FMP use to change the tag <First Name> to JohnDoe in the bodys Email(s) that are sent out?
Is it in the "Send Campaign" script?
Looked many times but could not seem find it.
My goal is to have customized "contact tags" Buttons to add a tag to the body of the Email Campaign.
Once again, Thank you for you time.
Hmmm, I have no idea as I don't normally work with that template. I'd assumed it was a cue for the user to manually edit after the fact and didn't look further. This might even be done by a calculation field or auto-entered calculation that uses something like the Substitute function.
Anyone else out there know?
I'm not sure when I'll get the time to look deeper into that file myself...
Take a look at the field Campaigns::g_Body_Select. It has the following auto-entered expression that replaces the tags with text drawn from fields in a table:
Substitute ( Template_Body;
[ "<First Name>"; Contacts_Temp::Name_First ];
["<Last Name>"; Contacts_Temp::Name_Last];
["<Full Name>"; Contacts_Temp::Name_Full];
["<Company Name>"; Contacts_Temp::Company];
That's the expression I believe you'll need to edit inorder to get it to work with your design changes.
Thank You so much for take time and working on this.
That was it.
