Data Entry Layout

Post

     Hello,

I am sure that this has been asked before but I wasn't able to find the post with the answer.

With the exception of layouts that just show some information (for example, the About layout to show information about a db and its licence agreement),every time that you want to use the layout to do something different you have to create a New record first.

What I want is to have an Entry layout from which I can fire scripts that create records in different tables and which shows summaries in portals based on other tables, whithout the need to create a New record in the TO on which the Entry layout is based.

So how do I setup a layout that serves as the Entry pannel from which the user controls the whole db: record creation and visualization?

For example, for the following tables:

     Appointment

     Client

     AppointmentClient

What would be the setting so that from the Entry layout based on the Appointment TO the user could manage the whole database?

     Thanks,
