      Disable File Sharing

      Post

I need to disable peer-to-peer file sharing among my users and force them to use the FileMaker Server for all file sharing.  Does anyone know which Windows Registry keys can be used to permanently disable P2P sharing in Filemaker Pro client?

      Thanks!

          It's not a registry setting.

Access the computer where the files are shared using a pasword with administrator privileges, locate the folder containing the files and right click the folder to find and select "properites". One of the properties for the folder should be FileSharing. Use this to disable all sharing of this folder. (Server doesn't need file sharing and direct access to a shared Filemaker file can damage it.)
