The options may not look like it, but they are disabled for users that do not have full access privileges. Open the file with a non full access password and try using these options.
I have hosted the database on a server and on the client when i try to login to the user whom i have given a data entry privilage then i get an error message that you dont have access to the file. Thats why i have assisgned the user a admin privilage
That should not be the case. We have hosted databases with FileMaker server and FileMaker Pro over our local network for years. You enter the appropriate account name and password and receive limited access.
And Using FileMaker Advanced instead of FileMaker Pro as the client application for a hosted database makes for a very expensive client application. FileMaker Pro works just the same as advanced for non full access users and does not have the additional menu options for advanced.
