OSX ver? FMP ver? upgraded recently? used to work? never worked?
This happens when you send to ONE address in TO
OR when multiple in CC
Thanks for your reply David
Since I posted the question I learned that there are spaces and hard returns in some of the email addresses.
I had asked the client about that but was assured it was not the case.
There are utilities and apps that will show hidden characters. (viewing at 24 points can reveal spaces)
Word (WIN and OSX) does, Textwrangler (OSX) does, Notepad++ (WIN) etc...
Importing to a spreadsheet and viewing at 24 or 36 point works.
Ok so even after spaces have been removed the error still appears when two or more addresses are added to the CC field.
Filemaker version is 12 and OSX is 10.6.8
Apparently it was working without an error message and now it doesn't
No recent upgrades or changes
Depending on the email client used, two or more addresses in the TO, CC or BCC boxes should be separated by either semi-colons (;) or commas. Semi-colons is most often the correct delimiter.
I am using a ";" and the email client is Mac mail
