Double Question, Execute SQL and populating SQL table
I have a two fold question. I am finding myself have to move a couple of my tables to an external sql database. The tables include numbers, text and dates. I've tried exporting as a csv and importing that, there are about 25,000 records and it ends up getting scrambled about.
I'm righting a script to set each field to a variable with the correct formating and than doing an execute sql to write a query using the variables, than looping thru all the records. I have that working right but this doesn't seem like a very efficient way to do this. Is there a better way.
Other part, I have the file running on a FM Server with the OBDC driver connect there. The script runs when I am on the same machine as the server but not on another machine running the database connected thru the server. Am I doing something wrong? I thought you only need the OBDC driver running on the server.
