Seems like import records might work. Import from the SQL shadow table into a temp table. Then import from the temp table back into a new record in SQL table.
But only if you can't just use the duplicate record action.
I will try that. I haven't done much with import records yet. The duplicate records locks things up with an obdc error about the primary key being the same.
I was afraid that there was a reason duplicate record didn't work. In a typical FileMaker table (as opposed to the SQL shadow table), an auto-entered serial number would generate a unique value when the record is duplicated.
