Title

Excess Baggage in Runtime

Post

I've just upgraded to FMP 10 and built my first set of runtime files. I was suprised to find that they're over 5 megabytes larger than the same application under 8.5. A check of the runtime directory revealed that the following subdirectories have been added:

Microsoft.VC80.CRT
Microsoft.VC80.MFC
Microsoft.VC80.MCFLOC
SASL2
XTPTrans

What these are filesets for? -- the new user-configurable toolbar? I'd like to remove them like I did with unneeded dictionaries -- just wasted megabytes. But, of course, I don't want problems showing up.  By the way, I'm building a Kiosk application that doesn't use the Status ToolBar.

Please let me know as soon as possible.

Thanks.
