Exit Loop if Help

Hi, I have made a script that exports information and photos from my database and it involves a loop. It is fully functional and exits properly after the last record but I would like to put a command in that would cap the maximum number of times the process will loop. I would never need it to export more than 10-15 at a time but just in case something is missed I don't want it doing this for ALL records in the database. I'm just curious if there is simple way to exit loop if record count > 15 or something along those lines. I've also considered setting a variable (x = 1) then adding a line x = x +1 to the loop and exit if x = 15 but I'm not seeing a command that would allow me to do that within the script editor. If anyone has some advice I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
