Export Records - from Go on iPad to Windows; Carriage Return/Enter not compatable

      Post

A script I have written in Filemaker Pro-Advanced 12 for use on an iPad running Filemaker Go, generates and sends the delimited file perfectly when sent from Pro on a Win XP machine.  When I send it from the same .fmp12 on an iPad with FM Go, the Enter characters are not recognized in any Windows product (Notepad, and proprietary software designed to read the .csv).  When opened all of the records appear on the same line, with a small box where each carriage return would place the next record on the next line.   Within the Export Records command I have tried all of the "Output file character sets": Windows (ANSI), DOS (ASCII), Macintosh, Unicode (UTF-16) and Unicode (UTF-8) with the same result.

I am using a "tab-separated text file (*.tab)"  type to eliminate the quotation marks at the beginning and end of each record which appear if I use a "Comma-separated text file (*..csv)".   The actual filename provided from my variable "$$TxtFilename" ends in .txt.  The commas are actually created with a formula in a field, so that I only export one field per record with the commas in the right place.

           The script looks like:

      •           GoTo Layout ["PRExport" (tblPR)]
      •
      •           Perform Find [Restore]
      •
      •           Sort Records [No Dialog]
      •
      •           Export Records [No Dialog; $$TxtFilename; Unicode (UTF-16)]
      •
      •           Send Mail[.....

The output sent from a Windows machine opened on a windows machine looks like:

           10/28/13,810,0113777,1530,REG,4.0,,,,
           10/28/13,810,0113777,3100,REG,4.0,,,,

The output sent from an iPad as opened on a Windows Machine looks like:

Note: I have subsituted two brackets for the small square displayed in notepad.
