What does "violation3 3000" supposed to represent? That you are recording 3000 "violations" or does it represent something different than that?
And what does it mean when you select two or more check box values in this field on the same record?
violation3 is the vilation name, and the 3000 is the amount or violation fee,i just bind the violation_name and violation_fee from one table to the check box.so need to get the value 3000 from the above selected field and sum it and show it in a Label or another field.
Yes may be user can select more than one violations.
Please note that it is nearly impossible to read the text on your screen shot due to the white color.
How does the different names affect the number based totals that you want?
Do you want a total over multiple records summing all the values of 3000 for violation 3 to get a total for "violation 3" and then another total for "Violation 2", Violation 1, etc.
Do you want a total of all the numbers of all the selected values? And for just one record or a group of records?
i need the second one u said,
total of all the numbers of all the selected values, for just one record.(one line)
Then what is the purpose to the text: "Violation3" and such used in your value list? How do you use that information?
I can set up a calculation that will compute that total, but I think that there are probably better, more flexible design options for what you want to do here.
Evaluate ( Substitute ( Filter ( YourCheckBoxFieldHere ; "0123456789¶" ) ; ¶ ; " + " ) )
will probably work from what I can make out from your original screen shot.
