      Hi there,

I am having issues with multiple users having access to a database. We use FileMaker Pro V.6 and share a database that is on a network share based on a Windows Server 2000. There are currently two OS's on the workstations. XP & 2000. The 2000 machines are all being upgraded at the moment and this is when the issue has arisen.

You have to log into Incidents as an administrator on a Windows 2000 machine for everyone to have access to the database. If you try and log into one of the fresh install XP machines as an administrator it locks everyone else out of the file with the following message.

"[database file] is currently in use and could not be opened. The file is in single-user, or the host could not be found on the network."

Am I missing something when installing FMP on the XP machines that allows them access to this file? Please help.

      Many Thanks
