Try conventing bento to a filemaker file then import?
Sorry Robert How do I do that?
I can not export as a FM pro source....
or save as.....
is there a convert option somewhere?
Thank you for your post.
When you try to import your Bento Data Source, does it crash immediately? Do you get presented with a listing of Libraries before crashing? If you are able to select a Library, does it crash immediately or do you get some importing before the crash?
Any additional information you can provide will help me narrow down the possible causes.
It crashes before I get into the library.. no warning drops out..... I tested this on my lap top too and it is OK... so not sure why it is crashing on my Office computer....
Any Ideas should i get rid of the preferences?
Thank you for the additional information.
When FileMaker imports from a Bento source, FileMaker reads information from a Bento preference file, and it looks for the Bento application in the Applications folder of the hard drive.
First, make sure the Bento application is in the Applications folder. If not, move it there.
Remove the following file:
Home directory -> Library -> Preferences - com.filemaker.bento.plugins.plist
When Bento launches, it will look for this file and if it doesn't exist, a new file is created. Once this is done, quit Bento and then try the import again from FileMaker Pro.
